It is used to form the cells lining the digestive, respiratory, reproductive, and urinary tracts and in all tissue linings of the body. It is also vital for healthy skin and is a famous antioxidant. It is best absorbed when taken with oil or fat. Each capsule contains 10,000 IU of vitamin A derived from fish oils, or 200% of the Daily Value.
Vitamin D works synergistically with vitamin A. It plays a role in absorbing and regulating calcium and phosphorus. This vitamin helps the body synthesize protein and helps build strong bones, teeth, and skin. It is vital to the health of the nervous system and kidneys. It can be derived from the sun's action on oils secreted and reabsorbed by the skin. But if skin is tan or older, it is less capable of producing vitamin D. Each capsule of Vitamin A & D contains 400 IU of vitamin D, which is 100% of the Daily Value.
Recommended use: Take one capsule daily with a meal.
Label Warning: If pregnant, or planning pregnancy, daily vitamin A intake should not exceed 5,000 IU. Quantities in excess of 10,000 IU may result in reproductive hazards, or birth defects. Beta-carotene as a natural plant source of vitamin A poses no such risk.
